About the Role
Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) is looking for an experienced manager to supervise their team of Client Relationship Associates. This is an interesting role which will focus on operations and include client and mediator management, further development of our CEDR Key online booking platform, commercial operations and team management and development.
Although CEDR operates both commercial and consumer dispute resolution services, this role is solely focused on commercial disputes work, providing high quality services to our client base of UK and international law firms and their clients; there is also a significant amount of work provided directly to companies' in-house legal teams, senior executives and HR professionals.
The current commercial disputes team comprises seven members of staff, reporting to the Director of Commercial Disputes. Fourmembers of the team are Client Relationship Associates administering cases which are conducted by members of our 150+ panel of adjudicators, arbitrators and mediators in the UK and internationally. These team members will report direct to the Head of Commercial. Three additional members of staff undertake business development and client relations activities and report directly to the Director of Commercial Disputes.
CEDR is looking to build on the foundation of customer service it is already well known for by developing a style of service that brings the best elements of a clerks' room to the dispute resolution provider environment, where the staff know their practitioners' strengths and weaknesses inside out, have an excellent understanding of all the services they provide, and are always on the lookout for a new opportunity to drive the business forward. This is a management role but you will also be expected to handle more senior client casework.
